About Takeshi Fukunaga

Takeshi Fukunaga (福永壮志) is an award-winning director and editor. His first short film, “The Hole In the Sky” (2007), earned a grant from the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures, and his following short film, "K" (2009) was screened in notable film festivals. In addition to the narrative

motion picture, he has equally applied his creative vision to commercials, documentaries, and music videos. His work has been featured in venues ranging from Anthology Film Archives and The National Arts Club to DUMBO Arts Festivals and Tokyo Fashion Week. Fukunaga is based in New York City.
